dinabev I understand. I am in process of resetting another ring so can't buy outright. But have you taken this to a jeweler to see what they would give you for it? I sell my jewelry to jewelers often.

secgirl @dinabev I've only taken it to one place. And it's one of those places that advertise that they buy jewelry. They wanted it really bad, but I can't go as low as they offered. My dad had a stroke and this is actually just one of about 250 pieces I'm selling for him. Posh always seems to not have that good of a rating when selling fine diamonds and jewelry. Or else I'd take the time to list them.

dinabev I'm sorry to hear about your father. Yes a lot of places want gold and not stones. But estate jewelers usually do better. But I'd they buy for about 1/3 of what they will sell it for not what it's worth. But they do like large lots. I have a lot of fine jewelry as well and i seem to get more offers to trade than buy on posh so thought I'd try the same.

secgirl @dinabev I'm not sure if my dad has paperwork on it. It was purchased in the early 90's. And has sat in his safe ever since. He does have paperwork on about 75% of the items. I'm just not sure on this. If she's interested, I would be willing to pay the appraisal fee here.

dinabev I'll show it to her. She has made me two rings and is in the process of resetting my emerald. I know you don't know anything about me but I love jewelry and buy and sell all the time. My friend has 3 jewelry stores including one in jewelers building in Boston and buys and ships everywhere. So I can send her pic and see if she would be interested and what she would pay based on your description. I wish you were on east coast. I can also ask if she can recommend someone in your area.
