40s Vintage Custom Made Blue Gabardine Skirt (s) Suit - M Classic 40s nipped waist skirt suit with adorable jacket and TWO, yes 2 skirts. One longer skirt (Midi) and one knee length skirt. Material is a gabardine weave, for the era I would surmise that it is a worsted wool, with colorway of blue, navy blue and white, with a rose colored speck. Lovely. No size tags found. No stretch to fabric. Jacket has a nice structured design, form fitting with covered buttons and fabulous cuff and waist embellishments. Skirts are sleek and form fitting. No bulk! Talon Zipper, button, snap closure. Waist tape is firm and does not stretch. Button was attached with a safety pin to allow for "placement" as it's owner gained or lost weight. (1.5 inch variance).
