4 MID-CENTURY MODERN RETRO SNACK PLATES BY JONAS ROBERTS– ORANGE DOMINO PATTERN (Atomic). These Retro snack plates were Made in Japan and feature Jonas Roberts’ Orange Domino (Atomic) pattern. 4 palette shaped plates, white with an orange triangle design, measure approx. 9” across. They have Jonas Roberts’ trademark artist palette shape (an indentation at the edge to make the plate easier to hold at a buffet) and a round depression where a cup can sit. The stoneware line the company produced was called "cera-stone" -- stoneware with a finished ceramic-like glaze. The colors are strong and vibrant. I have examined the set very carefully and find no chips, cracks, or crazing. There are minimal scratches and wear consistent with vintage age. One plate has more wear on the orange triangles than the others (see photos). Overall very great condition for vintage plates. This unique snack plate set of 4 plates would add to your Mid-Century Modern, or 1950’s – 1960’s décor, or would make a very special and unique gift.
