SPALTING is a unique process that results in beautifully marbled wood designs. Each button starts as a disc of reclaimed tree branch, oven dried, hand shaped, sanded, and polished to a supple finish. Each button is one-of-a-kind as no two wood grains are exactly alike, none are perfectly round. Finished in beeswax to highlight the wood grain and protects the buttons for years to come. Won’t snag your textiles. CARE: intended for hand wash projects only. Don't leave them submerged in water for long soaks beyond needs of laundering your garment.
