36 bust 2-piece silk suit GILLIAN logo 1980s paper hang tag, Tunic length Blazer

The original 1980's paper hang tag shows a retail price of $425 for this GILLIAN floral print silk suit. Made in Korea, the silk is a lightweight multicolor, with thin gold metallic thread accents throughout. Hip length, the collarless blazer has one dome style 1.5 inch front button, plus 2 hidden snaps to hold it closed at the V-neckline front. Slim cut, the matching skirt has a back zipper. Fully lined, inside it is a solid dark burgundy color. The 1980's size is 8. Sizing standards have changed over the years, so please use these measurements to make sure this will fit you. For the Blazer Shoulder to shoulder is 17 inches Sleeve length is 23 and 1/2 inches Armhole is 22 inches Bust is 36 inches Waist is 31 inches Full length is 31 inches Hemline width is 40 inches For the Skirt Waist is 26 inches Hip is 38 inches Full length is 23 inches Back center slit is 4 inches Hemline width is 35 inches Versatile, either piece can also be worn with other coordinating separates. When I bought this (from a high-end boutique that had gone out of business years ago) the owner told me the suit had been worn in a charity fashion show. That accounts for the light stains on the inside of the sleeve area. That minor issue should not affect you use of this set. However, to make any new owner fell better about their purchase, I have listed it at a much lower price than you would normally find a never worn GILLIAN 1980's designer suit.
