Zach Snyder's 2007 adaptation of Frank Miller's graphic novel about the Spartan defense of Greece from the invading Persian army is a tour-de-force explosion of visual storytelling, with much of the language taken directly from Miller's source material. 2-disc sepcial edition also includes a third bonus disc with more behind the scenes footage of the making of the film. After his 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead, this is the film that cemented Zach Snyder as one of modern cinema's most gifted visual stylists. Used but in great shape.
