A short history: This much-loved pottery flourished in the Great Smokey’s tourist spot, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee - just a few miles from Gatlinburg - from 1946 - 2000. During the last half of the 20th century, the Pigeon Forge Pottery made its mark on the culture of the Great Smokey Mountains by working with materials from the region, by hiring local artists, and by creating designs inspired from the flora and fauna of the surrounding mountains.
