darce_bijoux @lesah_88 it is isn't it!?! I graduated from high school there and went to college there too. I haven't been back unfortunately in almost 10 years partially bc of my health and partially b it's so expensive to get home from IN! But we're having a family reunion this Xmas so me, hubs, my kids and my two brothers and their families are heading down there! 👍😀👍😀 I've decided I'm renting a hotel room since neither of my parents has a/c and I'm spoiled now! ❤️💖❤️💖❤️💖❤️

Things are going well for me...still poshing away lol. I'm booked for poshfest so I'm looking forward to see how that is. Unfortunately I'm attending by myself so hopefully it goes well. allurestylitude @xoxochristia that's right! Well you have to enjoy life so I say go & have fun especially with good health! Comic Con is in CA right? My cousin lives in San Diego and it seems like he goes every year. I'm just thinking the flight for me will seem so long since I'm coming from Boston lol. I'm looking forward to meeting a lot of people.

darce_bijoux @lesah_88 yea comic con is in San Diego and this year for the first time I got a press pass (I'm a freelance journalist so I work from home) to get in!! And I totally missed it! But I did go to TN with my BFF since elementary school that made up for it! ❤️❤️❤️ do you have a layover? Usually when I have a layover I try to get one someplace where I know someone so they can keep me company. But yea that is a ridiculously long flight!

allurestylitude @xoxochristia good for you! You do a bit of everything. TN seems like it would be a nice relaxing trip. Hope you had a great time! I was soooo determined to get nonstop flights which I did and they turned out to be cheaper than the ones with stops lol. Honestly I could do with this little break from everything. Just wish I was going for at least a week.

darce_bijoux @lesah_88 yes ma'am! I'm a Jane of all Trades! I freelance write, I'm a professional blogger, A photographer for almost two decades, a certified Spanish interpreter, a certified wedding planner and party planner, I occasionally do graphic design, I started a production company years ago with my son that he handles in PR (nothing big though)...I think that's it for now! Oh and I posh! LOL ☺️☺️ and hopefully someday I'll be a certified gemologist! 😍 you're lucky you got a non stop flight! I've never been that lucky! That's why I hate flying back home it takes so long with all the layovers. A mini vacation is better than no vacation! Maybe next year you could book a whole week and take in some sight seeing too?

allurestylitude @xoxochristia I started thinking about doing a fashion blog but I don't think that I would be able to dedicate the time. Although it would be a great opportunity. I'd love a week long or longer vacation on an island. Those are usually my vacations. By the way, have you heard of the event called Magic that is held in Las Vegas? You have to be a registered business in fashion to attend. They have wholesalers and workshops etc. I just found out that it was this week. I hope that I can attend the one in Feb.

I fell into blogging bc sometimes I get information that I can't use in my columns so I use my blog as a platform to post that other info. I've been ignoring recently bc I get caught up doing other stuff though. One thing that keeps me going is the perks! 😳😍😳 aside from Puerto Rico do you visit other islands?

allurestylitude @xoxochristia it's magiconline.com. Omg they already have the dates listed Feb 17-19, 2015!!! I have to go to this. This is just the push I need to get my business registered and going! If you plan on going, let me know. It would be nice to meet. I suggest calling them because they want specific business docs to prove eligibility to attend. You'll certainly want to blog about it. Besides PR, I've been to Jamaica and Barbados. My family is from Barbados so I'm more likely to vacation there and visit. I'm a Lead Recordkeeper of govt & corp retirement plans and I'm also a notary. During all of that, I also was a retail marketing associate. Now that I dropped the retail job, I'm excited about doing the boutique because I love fashion & shopping. I'm disappointed that I didn't become a buyer for a company. I think if I knew about other professions when I was in college, that would have been my career path.

darce_bijoux @lesah_88 in Vegas? You wouldn't think it would be cold out there in the desert except maybe at night! I have a question about licenses maybe you can help. I have my business license out of KY and I got it for my photo studio and I've just always used that bc I did used to purchase items to use including retail items like tutus and petticoats to use for sittings. Do you think I need to get a regular retail license instead?? Thanks!

allurestylitude @xoxochristia I'm actually not sure. You should double check with magic under the project group when you call. I know they told me that I need a reseller id, a valid website, business cards, and an id but I believe there was another doc. They're pretty strict on who can get into it. I asked about bringing someone and magic said the person would have to be an owner or my employee with a check stub plus business card.The business has to be fashion related. As far as Vegas, I googled the typical weather in Feb. It said it's about 50-60° and at night, it could be 30°. It would be like I never left the east coast lol.

I've got a regular (I guess?) business for my photography studio and I do believe I have a retail license also just never used it bc I was always more photography oriented. Guess I Better check out the website 😊. Ugh... That sucks on the weather! I would've imagined warmer weather like Florida or something where it gets cold to them but outsiders think it feels great!

allurestylitude @xoxochristia well all things considered, it'll probably be anywhere from the teens to 30s here so 60 will probably feel so warm to me lol. I remember when I was watching the news and it actually snowed there. I was shocked. I was saying to myself some people went there to get away from this type of weather. I know the woman told me that the mailing list starts in Nov. She also said they require 3 sale invoices. I assume from wholesalers. A new business can have a letter of intent instead. I know I need to call them to double check all the info that I was told.

darce_bijoux @lesah_88 I guess it wouldn't be too bad for me...that's like IN/KY. One day it's hot an the next day it's snowing. You just can't keep up with the weather here! That is a lot of paperwork thAt they're asking for but I imagine that's to maintain their exclusivity. I will def check it out tomorrow though. I would now but it's Supernatural time 😊😊 and it's a ritual around here for my daughter hubs and me at least until Walking Dead comes back on and then it's Walking Dead time! ☺️😳☺️
