My preteen girls wanted sea green instead of diamond white so I made these to store their Mermaid powers in.🧜♀️🐠

I made this with solid 925 Sterling Silver w/ Rhodium platinum over it. Gem inscribed with serial # & comes w/ Gemologist report.
VVS1 Green, Excellent cut, Excellent polish, Excellent Symetry, No fluorescence.

The white stone is my mom’s birth stone, diamond. And green is my favorite color. Is the babd white gold or sterling silver?

@elisar68 This one is sterling silver with rhodium platinum over it but I can do white gold (which is 14k yellow gold with rhodium platinum over it). The benefit of silver is it keeps the price low and when the rhodium layer eventually wears thin you don’t see any color difference/notice. The benefit of white gold is gold is worth more than silver so the metal will hold value over the years but when the rhodium wears thin you start to see the yellow of the gold showing through.

@elisar68 the other benefit of 14 gold as a base is that gold is harder than silver so if it’s a daily wear and you bang your hands around cleaning a lot then maybe the gold would be better but if you’re a desk job and not very physical with your hands then silver is usually just fine.

@elisar68 It’s purely a personal choice. I personally wear silver with rhodium. I like the white look and don’t want the gold to ever show/need replating. I also don’t care if the middle base metal of the ring is worth more $ wise.

@elisar68 Price wise, currently, 14k gold or white gold adds approximately $1000 to the price of any ring (depending on the ring of course but as an approx general rule).

On here I make a listing for the first half deposit with details of ring and start once $ clears. Then I make a 2nd posting for the remainder once completed with pics/video of final ring.

It was fed exed from the same state as I’m in (CA) to be delivered today and somehow updated to being in Chicago at the moment with delivery date pending. I can only imagine storms have redirected delivery routes(??). I apologize for the delay.
I do have the ring setting made and ready to set as soon as the gem gets to me. I’ll update you as soon as FedEx updates me.

@aliciakinzler Thanks for being understanding. I talked with FedEx and it was the tropical storm Hillary that originally caused them to send around it and now it has to make its way back to CA. It’s left Chicago and is in Oklahoma now🤦♀️ I would think it’ll make it back fairly quickly from now🤞
