So, I absolutely love the east-west style setting with the oval cuts in particular, because it really showcases the unique properties that colored oval cut moissanites have - which is seeming like they're lighter in the middle, and darker at the edges. Almost an ombre effect. However, this effect is entirely optical illusion, since the oval cut works like a swimming pool - where the stone is deeper on the ends, so the color saturation is greater, making the stone appear darker, and the middle is a lighter color. The ring itself has a really pretty swirl pattern framing the stone itself that's a mix of modern and traditional. It's just a unique piece that's super comfortable!
