Own a piece of iconic history in this Celine Coin Pouch which was a VERY Limited Edition crafted solely for the 2002 FIFA World Cup jointly hosted by Japan and South Korea. Brazil eventually took the Cup after a series of egregiously questionable decisions in two games by referees that were allegedly "on the take" to push the co-host South Korean team through the tournament. After protests were issued by Italy and Spain, FIFA declared the incidents to be "human error", which supported allegations that FIFA was riddled with corruption. The Spanish press dubbed FIFA "thieves of dreams". Further, it should be noted that both referees involved in the two controversial games were forced to retire after the Ecuadoran referee who officiated the Round 16 match between South Korea and Italy was found guilty of game-fixing throughout his career, and the Egyptian referee who officiated the quarterfinal match between South Korea and Spain was discovered to have accepted a brand new luxury car from South Korea after the World Cup ended.
The original dust bag is included with the coin pouch.
