2 Vintage Otagiri Flower Coffee Mugs 1970's

These are two vintage Otagiri speckled stoneware mugs from the 1970s. These mugs are known for their floral designs and were made in Japan.  The mugs are a set of two and are 3 1/2 inches tall and 2 3/4 inches wide. The design features yellow and orange flowers on a speckled, brownish-tan background.  The mugs have a hand-painted floral pattern on a tan or brown speckled stoneware background. The Otagiri Mercantile Company (OMC) was known for producing a variety of ceramic items, including these types of mugs, before being sold in the mid-1990s.  The mugs are in great Vintage condition. The colors are bright and not faded. They have no stains on the inside and no stir marks. The one mug has no chips or cracks. The other mug has a small chip on the bottom as seen in the picture. It has no cracks and no stains or stir marks on the inside. You cannot see the flaw when the cup is sitting flat on the table. This does not affect the use nor the presentation of the piece.
