19th Century Antique Gaudy Welsh Oyster Pattern Allertons Marked Lidded Tureen

Measures roughly 5.5” x 9.5” x 7” diameter opening, with a scalloped base, bilateral ear shaped handles, overhanging lid, with a ring finial. Underside marked “Allertons EST 1831 Made in England.” On the lid is a 1.5” square y-shaped hairline (right/underside), 1/2” chip on lip, and a 1” x 1/2” on right edge, repaired with glue. Wonderful piece. Sold as pictured.
