Beautiful 19th-century hand-painted armorial soup plate measuring approximately 9.5” in diameter, featuring the heraldic arms of a Spanish noble family with Portuguese lineage. Likely produced for a marriage service ca. 1840–1880, the shield shows quinas-style blue escutcheons, Castilian castles and lions, mullets, and a central cadet-branch annulet, all beneath a Spanish noble coronet and rare Moorish page crest. The scalloped rim, floral garlands, and central floral spray reflect Vieux Paris or Dresden decorator work. Excellent antique condition with only minor age-appropriate characteristics. A scarce and highly collectible example of European armorial porcelain. Asking $295 or best offer. Please comment or message with any questions!
