1998 Official White House Christmas Ornament Commemorates the 15th President James Buchanan. Gorgeous depiction of the majestic bald eagle and shield insignia which first appeared on the glassware President Andrew Jackson purchased for the White House in 1829. A detailed wreath of white magnolia blossoms and red camellias surround the white porcelain eagle. The ornament is made of a non tarnishing 24k gold-finished brass with a porcelain bald eagle at the center.
The inscriptions "The White House Christmas 1998 / E PLURIBUS UNUM" is on the front and "President James Buchanan / ©1998 WHHA • Made in USA" on the back. So much American history depicted in this ornament! Comes in the original box and booklet. Preowned- very tiny light surface marks on the back and box has very slight wear. Please see pictures for approximate measurements. Great for an American History Buff! American history, president, nostalgia, bald eagle, collectible.
