1998 Midge "Suburban Shopper" 35th Anniversary Ornament Barbies Best Friend. New in original box. 4 1/2" H x 1 1/2" L x 1 1/4" W The Midge doll who made her debut in 1963, soon became the best friend of everyone's favorite fashion model, the Barbie doll. When Midge turned 35, she entered the Keepsake Ornament collection wearing a full skirted dress complemented by a "straw" cartwheel hat and matching tote bag. Described as being "just right" for a Saturday morning visit to the Farmers' Market, the "Suburban Shopper" ensemble was offered from 1959 to 1964. Sculpted by Patricia Andrews.
