BACKGROUND 🪙
* This 1994-D quarter was struck at the Denver Mint with a massive mintage of about 880 million coins, making it very common in circulation.
* It carries the familiar John Flanagan portrait of George Washington on the obverse.
* The reverse shows the heraldic eagle with wings spread, clutching arrows and an olive branch. This design ran from 1932 until 1998, just before the 50 State Quarters series began.
* Historically, 1994 quarters are part of the final years of the “classic eagle” design, which collectors often see as the end of an era before modern commemorative designs took over.
