Festival New Orleans Concert Poster (1993) — Mark Arminski, Bill Graham Presents
Original screen print concert poster designed by Mark Arminski for Festival New Orleans, a one-night celebration of Louisiana music, food, and folk art held July 16, 1993, at Chene Park Music Theatre in Detroit, Michigan. Presented by legendary promoter Bill Graham and modeled after the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, the event featured performances by Buckwheat Zydeco, John Mooney and Bluesiana, The Radiators, The Subdudes, and the Young Olympia Brass Band.
The poster showcases a vibrant central image of an accordion player, evoking the spirit of zydeco and brass band traditions. Printed in bold black and orange inks on light blue stock, it measures approximately 14.25" × 20". Typography highlights the festival’s culinary offerings—Crawfish Monica, jambalaya, pralines, po-boys—and handmade crafts including voodoo dolls and Houma Indian moss dolls.
Signed in plate © Mark L Arminski, 1993. Printed by Kris Dorris / The Ghetto Press, Detroit.
Condition: Good vintage condition with a visible crease at the bottom left corner. Unframed. Ships rolled in a heavy-duty Yazoo Mills tube for protection.
