1988-(P) Philadelphia Mint - Original Mint Error

This 1988 US Cent was struck twice with both strikes off center. The original strike is about 8% off center and the second strike is about 80% off center. The second strike is Uniface (one sided) due to an intervening planchet that blocked the reverse die from making contact with the coin. Because of the defect on the coin it never circulated and shows original RED surfaces on both the obverse (front) and reverse (back.) This is a real mint error.
