The California Indians shooting club was founded in 1919 and hosts events for trap shooting, skeet, and sporting clays, giving trophies like this to the winners. In the 1960s, they commissioned Lenox to produce these silver-rimmed plates as awards. The early ones were rimmed in sterling silver, but the later ones like this one from 1986 are silver-plated copper (I had this one tested).
The Native American pattern was designed by illustrator Harry Held and was never offered by Lenox to the general public to buy. The full-size dinner plate with rim measures 12.5 inches wide by 1.5 inch thick and is in very good condition for its age. The plate is near mint but the silver-plated rim has some scuffs and scratches on the front (see photo).
