1983 Vintage Book: Stories by Guy de Maupassant, The Franklin Library A beautifully produced edition of selected stories by the celebrated French author Guy de Maupassant. Published by The Franklin Library in 1983, this volume features elegant gilt detailing, decorative endpapers, and rich black-and-white illustrations by Istvan Ventilla. Translated by Roger Colet, this edition includes several of Maupassant’s most well-known short stories. Overall good condition for its age: • Cover: light shelf wear with some minor fading to gilt, especially on back • Spine: title slightly faded with a noticeable white spot near the bottom • Pages: overall good condition with light age toning • Edges: pretty gilt edges with some marks and shelf wear • Measures approximately 9” x 5.75” Please see all pictures as well to help determine condition (zoom in) and ask questions if needed.
