1978 Villeroy & Boch Mettlach Wall Plaque Muttertag Mother’s Day Ltd Ed

Lovely Villeroy and Boch Mettlach Muttertag/Mother's Day Plaque from 1978. Gorgeous cameo-like white sculpted figures of a mother and her two daughters on a cobalt blue background, bordered with flowers. This is a limited edition plaque; only 15,000 were made, and this is number 36! This is made of phanolith porcelain - it looks like jasperware, but is made from a special technique developed by Villeroy and Boch. The plaque comes in its original box with its certificate of authenticity (photo 10). This vintage plaque is in excellent condition; the only thing to note are some marks on the back (photos 7-9). The box is worn from age.
