Another beautiful vintage heirloom from my family's treasure box. This stunning blue turquoise ring is from the Native American Navajo Tribe designer L Smiley circa 1973 Arizona. It's been beautifully preserved in Tupperware for over 50 years! Sterling is stamped on the inside above L Smiley. The original patina is obviously seen as it should be. It's a preferred condition but can be polished if desired. Sterling was the trademark stamp before 1975, then as we know it shifted to 925. The blue turquoise is a vibrant blue with spider veins throughout. It's a big statement ring and measures 6.5. I'd love to keep it, but with age, I've become a minimalist. Please wear it and celebrate its rich tribal history!
Navajo's believe Turquoise is linked to health, safety, and protection, and is associated with the sun, the south, and Mount Taylor, one of the four sacred mountains.
