These very unique vintage cufflinks are not signed but I know who made them. They were made by US designer Dante. Made in NYC, he was famous for importing the most unique glass and crystal cabs from Europe he could find. This particular style was not mass produced and were only made during one year in the late 1960s or early 1970s.
The glass cabs are pale light pink in color and there are several aspects about these glass cabs that are very unique. The large oval and domed cabs are French glass. It's called Givre' glass as the glass is frosted. It is a very rare type of glass to find on vintage cufflinks.
The domes are faceted in a very unique checkerboard pattern where half are frosted and half are polished. The settings and wraps are made of gold plated metal and the frames around the glass cabs match the checkerboard pattern, but in triangle shapes. This frame style is very unique that's called zipper metal.
The cufflinks have great presentation as they are rather large in size at 1" wide. The pair is in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. They appear to have never been worn and there is no gold wear or imperfections to the glass cabs.
Comes gift wrapped in a new luxury presentation cufflink box as pictured.
