This charming 1970s crewel embroidery artwork features a colorful country scene with baskets of apples, blueberries, and daisies arranged along a garden path. The piece was stitched on a Caron printed canvas dated 1975 and showcases the rich textures, saturated colors, and nature-inspired subjects that defined the decade’s needlework style.
Measuring approximately 16" x 12" with a depth of about 3/4", it is stretched over its original wooden frame but remains unframed, ready for display as-is or for custom framing. The stitching is beautifully done with thick crewel wool yarn, giving the fruit, flowers, and foliage a vivid, dimensional feel.
There are age spots on the canvas background, as shown in the photos, but the embroidery itself remains vibrant and intact. This piece makes a lovely addition to farmhouse décor, cottage-style interiors, or any collection of vintage needlework.
When you buy vintage, you aren't just buying an object - you're sharing in a piece of someone's past.
