1960’s Nelson Chan Beaded Evening Bag

✨Estate Sale Find✨ Gorgeous purse by Nelson Chan, Hong Kong, circa 1960s. Stunning, intricate design of iridescent glass beads in varying shades of dark, copper/gold, & brassy gold. Satin lining. Beaded handle has a 6" drop. Gold tone metal hardware. Dimensions 7 1/2"H x 10"W Strap Drop= 6" CLOSURE ~ Spring hinge closure, one of the most confortable and unusual types. You close the bag by lifting the rigid flap, which gets back into place when you let it go. It is entirely covered in beads that create a pattern all over the body of the bag. The scalloped edge has a turned metal high-relief finish. MATERIAL ~ This bag is made of tiny golden beads that create a pattern in combination with cylindrical beads. The interior is lined in golden ribbed fabric. All beads intact. 🙂✨💜✨ INTERESTING DETAIL ~ It is an exceptional piece with two rare features: the beaded handle mounted on a rotating system and the spring hinge closure with decorative flap.
