Duke Paoa Kahinu Mokoe Hulikohola Kahanamoku (August 24, 1890 – January 22, 1968) was a Hawaiian competition swimmer who popularized the sport of surfing. A Native Hawaiian, he was born to a minor noble family less than three years before the overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom. He lived to see the territory's admission as a state, and became a United States citizen. He was a five-time Olympic medalist in swimming, winning medals in 1912, 1920 and 1924.

Does it said Duke Kahanmoku anywhere even the case as the image on the card is also a cover of the band called Sufaris in 1964 when they toured Japan. I have the picture of the dude as a cover of a music vinyl record.
I reached out to Sufaris over the weekend inquiring if anyone recalled the name of the dude riding the wave for clarification.

@rockitsonic it doesn't have his name anywhere. my wife is Hawaiian and immediately identified him as the person in the picture when she saw the cards. there are also lots of very similar pics of him online, same pose and suit. unless the band in question was around in the 1940s my guess is the band borrowed the image for their album cover.
