Vintage Japanese-style metal tray and two matching plates, featuring hand-painted Oriental scenes.
The vintage toleware tray has a lovely hand-painted Japanese scene of a geisha girl holding a parasol with a view of Mt. Fuji in the distance. The vintage metal tray is most likely from a "paint by number" tole craft kit from the 1950's. The painting quality is quite good.
The two coordinating metal wall plates each have a plastic pocket on the back to fill with a lotus blossoms. One has the same geisha girl holding a parasol. The second shows a sail boat in the foreground and a figure paddling a small boat in the background.
The hand painted tray is approximately 16x11 oval.
The wall pockets are 8 inches in diameter and would stand 1 inch from the wall.
In great condition, with typical signs of wear from age and use.
Vibrant colors, matte black background with gold details bordering scene.
