1950s Mohair German Steiff Leo Lion Lying Down. No tags, no button. 8" x 14"

This guy is a beautiful 1950s German Steiff Leo Lion, measuring 8" inches high by about 13" long (not including tail).  The lion is made of mohair. Steiff is a renowned brand known for producing high-quality plush toys, and this vintage piece from Germany is a collectible item sought after by enthusiasts of classic teddy bears and stuffed animals. With its size and nostalgic charm, this Steiff lion is a delightful addition to any toy collection or a perfect gift for a collector. In good used shape.  This piece was from the estate of a friend of mine.  He was stored in her house and she was cat friendly.  He arrived here really filthy.  I have cleaned him, but if you are hugely allergic to cats, this might not be the guy for you.  He is pretty loved, a little smashed and lists to one side, which you can see in the photos.  His body is cotton stuffing and his head is excelsior (wood wool).  He has a repaired seam on his lower belly, which you will be unable to find if I did a good enough job.  He also has a tiny hole on his lower leg (photographed).  He has a little bare spot above his eye and no whiskers, but otherwise good mohair coverage.  He has no tags.
