1950s Japanese Pottery Creamer & Sugar Bowl Green Crackle Glaze Heart Cutouts
Charming mid-century Japanese pottery creamer and lidded sugar bowl set, made in the 1950s. Crafted with a green crackle glaze accented by earthy brown tones and pierced cutout heart motifs around the lower body. The sugar bowl includes its original lid with knob handle, and the creamer features a wide spout and sturdy handle.
Inside both pieces is a hand-painted gold figure motif. This is a decorative design element typical of mid-century Japanese artistry, not a maker’s mark. Bases are unmarked, consistent with export pottery from Japan during this era.
A wonderful collectible set for mid-century pottery lovers and a unique accent to any coffee or tea service.
Creamer: 3.25" tall x 4.5" wide (including handle)
Sugar bowl with lid: 4" tall x 3.25" wide
Preowned - Vintage, 1950s. No chips or cracks beyond intentional glaze crackling. Some glaze variations and kiln marks typical of mid-century Japanese studio pottery. Gold figure motifs show light wear but remain visible.
