1950s Christian Dior Aurora Borealis Demi Parure of Brooch Clip and Earrings

Gorgeous 1950s Christian Dior set of a combined brooch and scarf or dress clip, and the coordinating clip on earrings, in a darkened silver metal with early prong-set Aurora Borealis rhinestones. The brooch is marked France just below the trombone clasp, and with a French notation for patent pending on the clip mechanism. Otherwise unsigned. The Metropolitan Museum of Art has the same brooch, but not the earrings, in its collection (its accession number in their collection is 1974.383.72). I’ve had both the earrings and the brooch professionally authenticated, and separately consulted on by an appraiser (Dr. Lori Verderame). And of course, any thing sold for $500 or more goes through Poshmark authentication before going on to the buyer. Absolutely stunning collector’s pieces - and extremely rare as a set.
