This late 1940's - early 1950's French oversized coat is a must have! It was made by Beau Mouton and sold in Kansas City's high end department store, Harzfeld's. What a showstopper! A rich dark chocolate brown with warm tones, it is luxurious to the touch, a super thick plush genuine sheared lambskin fur that features a raised collar, long sleeves, jet black leather elastic at the hem and jet black leather cuffs at the sleeve ends, hidden slit exterior pockets, and sassy original lining. It closes via a black zipper down the center front (zipper works but is not super smooth) It has lots of original labels and tags inside including: "Harzfeld's Kansas City" at the neckline, "Beau Mouton Original , Styled by Jacques Heim , Montreal, Paris, Biarritz, New York" label inside on a bodice panel, custom "MAH" initials that could easily be removed or left, and a "Manufactured under fair labor standards" woven label in a side seam. It has no sizing but it has a nice oversized fit on a modern day Medium.
