1940s Vintage Thermos Insulated Carafe Mottled Brown w Chrome Accents

A vintage carafe made by The American Thermos Bottle Co. Norwich, Connecticut USA. PAT JUNE 20 1911. In excellent condition. Preowned however I don’t think this was ever used. The clear ribbed plastic top has an adjustable rubber pressure seal which is like new. No cracks or drying of the rubber seal. Glass interior is clean. Outside is not Bakelite as other sellers proclaim it to be. Doesn’t test as such. It’s likely lucite having a sort of glistening mottled/swirl deep brown caramel color to it. 10” tall with stopper. Chrome accents. I do think the accents are a dense plastic and not metal but I could be mistaken. Heavy piece. Weighs 2lb 10oz and comes in at the 4lb rate when shipped. A mid century kitchen essential. Will keep your beverages hot or cold for hours. It’s beautiful.
