1940s Schleisner Co. Riding Jacket Navy Blue This 1940s beautiful structured jacket by Schleisner Co. is in excellent condition - as if left untouched for the last 80 years in a vacuum, no odors, fading or anything of that kind. This fine 1940s jacket retailed in high end American department store Schleisner and Co, Baltimore. It’s fitted and strucutured as a riding jacket/ hour glass in a way that screams quality and is incredibly flattering. It’s missing one bottom button as pictured but is otherwise in excellent condition. I’ve never seen a 40s piece stand the test of time this well. It was cared for meticulously by the previous owner who originally purchased it and now us. On the interior label at the bottom of one of the jacket sleeves it says Forstmann, 100% virgin wool.
