1940s Pillow Cover WWII Sweetheart Cushion Red Satin Fringe U.S. Army Love Gift

Such a sweet 1940s WWII era pillow cover. The soldiers remembered their Sweethearts at home by sending them a pillow case with the name of their training camp: in this case, Camp Gordon, Georgia. Bright red sateen fabric with fringe all around. Charming silhouette, retro floral flourishes and “Sweetheart” in script with the following poem: Love reckons hours for months, and days for years; and every little absence is an age. Measures approximately 17” x 18” (pictured looking a little “overstuffed” with an 18” square cushion insert). Amazing condition - particularly given its age!
