1940s Georgene Novelties International Cloth Doll Spain Spanish Girl Vintage Toy

This is a Genuine Georgene Doll - A Product of Georgene Novelties New York, NY representing Spain. She is wearing a white cotton blouse with a red satin ribbon, yellow felt vest with red buttons, and red satin skirt with black lace. She also has a black lace mantilla on her head, and black oilcloth booties. She carries with her a loose Spanish flag. I thought it was a pin but the end of it is curved. I have tucked it into the waistband of her skirt. While her clothing shows obvious signs of age, wear, and storage from the fading of her blouse and socks to the many tiny holes in her skirt, her hand-painted face is as vibrant as ever. The original wrist tag says "Spain 5095" on its backside. This doll measures approximately 13" tall, 9" wide, and is 3" thick.
