Elgin American Lucite and Sterling Silver Compact with Repousse Doves Love Birds Vintage 1940s This elegant 1940s compact features two repousse love birds set in round sterling silver on top of a clear lucite, square shaped powder compact. Compact is stamped on the front Sterling Des. Pat. Pend. A new old stock package of vintage powder puffs are included as a bonus. Measurements:  2 7/8" W x 2 7/8" D x 9/16" H Silver Face Plate: 2 1/4" Diam Weight: 73 g Condition:  Good vintage condition. Some age-related wear and fine scratches are present. Hinge pins have corrosion. Mirror has some dullness around the perimeter. Silver emblem is untarnished with normal patina and no apparent dings or dents. Normal wear for age. Please see all photos.
