1940s Art Deco Crystal Fireworks Vintage Clip Earrings

Made in the 1945-1955 era, these eccentric clear crystal clip earrings are a unique Art Deco firework motif. They represent the Hollywood era of legendary movie stars and were made to be worn on special occasions like New Years Eve or bridal wear. The earrings are made of silver rhodium metal and the design is rather large but light weight to wear. The earrings were made to be worn so that the spray goes up around the ear lobe. The firework spray is 2 1/2" long x 1 1/4" wide or 65 mm x 32 mm. The long arms have soldered settings that hold the clear rhinestone chatons and baguettes and all of the crystal rhinestones are prong set. The largest chaton is 9 mm, the small chatons are 6 mm, and the baguettes are 6 and 8 mm. The earrings are in pristine clean superb condition for age. All of the crystal rhinestones are original, present, and sparkling. There is no yellowing. There is no silver rhodium wear and the clips are in perfect working order ; Some very tiny spots of light rhodium wear on the backs of the long arms only. The earrings are not signed.
