1940's ALADDIN Alacite Table Lamp. Alacite is a trademarked name for an ivory-colored opal glass developed by Henry Hellmers for the Aladdin Mantle Lamp Company, first produced in 1938. Does not glow under a black light, so lamp was made in the 1940-50's. The lamp is marked Aladdin. This table lamp has an ivory-colored opal stem, splashes of peach colored highlights, raised floral pattern, and lamp shade finial with raised leaf art deco style design. Measures 24" T with finial, w/o finial and harp 15". Base has 4 small feet. The socket piece has a screw on rim that attaches to the glass body at the socket. In very good working condition. No cracks, scratches or chips to the glass body. Finial is not chipped but the raised seam has some age loss, and glue to screw-on brass. Light fade to peach. Metal has light aging. Light socket is clean, bulb up to 60w, switch works, all original wiring (no fraying) and non-polarized plug. NO lamp shade/lightbulb included. Weight 2 lbs. 12 oz.
