1930’s Tin - Duke and Duchess of York and daughters Elizabeth and Margaret

Commemorative Tin featuring the Royal family of the Duke and Duchess of York. The King at this time was George V and the Queen his wife Mary of Teck. The Prince of Wales was Prince Edward. There were several other brothers as well. “Bertie “ did not expect to replace his brother as king Images are of family in formal attire, tiara on Elizabeth the Duchess and full military regalia on the Duke. This tin has no markings of who might have produced it or why. Commemorating the King’s jubilee perhaps? Tin shows sign of use and age - seam is split so when open the tin is a bit crooked. Lid does fit well and keeps the tin together. If used for display only, the tin is in very good antique condition
