This vintage Macbeth-Evans “Thistle” berry bowl (circa 1929–1933) features the line’s signature satin-frosted floral sprays, raised leaf clusters, and the distinctive central leaf medallion pressed into the base. Produced during the early Depression era, this form is known for its gently cupped-square rim, softly rounded body, and warm topaz / pale amber tone that glows beautifully in natural light.
Measuring approx. 6½” across the rim and 2” tall, it’s the perfect size for berries, desserts, sauces, or display as part of a curated Depression glass collection. The pattern’s combination of matte and glossy surfaces creates a beautiful textural contrast—classic Macbeth-Evans craftsmanship.
Like all Depression-era glass, minor mold marks, tiny bubbles, or light seams are normal from the manufacturing process and part of the authentic character of these pieces.
A beautiful addition for collectors of early 20th-century American glass.
