Five stars represent the five provinces, three extinct volcanoes, the three mountain ranges, two ships symbolizing the country's geographical situation between the atlantic and pacific oceans and sunrise on the left. Around the size of a Roosevelt dime. Dime is not included, just used to compare the sides. This coin is circulated, and it does have some dark spots and normal scratches. Most, if not all, of the detail is still very visible. A 104-year-old coin with a beautiful gold brass color.
