Stamped made in Austria Signed Edith R 1926 Length 5.25" Width 5.25" Height 3.25" Appox 3 lbs. 1926 Antique Empire Art brass gold musical rhinestone jeweled jewelry box. Gold-gilded brass adorned with faceted multi-colored glass jewel stones. Small space inside to store jewelry or other trinkets. Comes with wind up key that winds up from the bottom. The hinge and closing mechanism is super intact and durable. Music plays when opened and stops when closed. Lined with brass along with a mirror. The mirror has minor spots but is not chipped or cracked. Very popular in Austria and Bohemia during the early 1900s. High-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
