This item is a rare and unique piece of history from the year 1901. It is a letter signed by the owner of Cooley's Hotel in Springfield, MA, Henry Marsh, who was also President of the Springfield Board of Trade. This document is a unique piece of American history, created during a time of great political change and tension in the country, just after the assassination of President McKinley. All ephemera has wear commensurate to age, including, potentially: nicks, folds, smudges, rips at edges, stains, old smells, minor rips at folds , small holes, and other imperfections. You get what you see :) Our research notes indicate our best efforts but are not guaranteed to be 100% accurate. Lots of tiny holes on the edge of the paper, almost looks like it was, at one time, bound.
