1900s Ink Blotter Hand Carved Wood Black Forest Bear Paperweight VTG RARE Early

Great hand carved detailing, well made. No markings of maker/brand. Reason to believe it is USA made. Came out of the Estate of a Military Colonel who resided in South Georgia. 14 Carved Stars on each side of blotter. Not sure if there is meaning to that. 2 small chips on right side of bear; nose & corner of blotter. Otherwise in Fabulous condition considering its age. Blotter unscrews from base by twisting bear & blotter opposite direction. 4.5” W x 1.5” L 1.2” W x 2.5 L (Bear length)
