Stunning blue, black, and silver metallic stripe Marc Jacobs bustle dress from his fabulous Spring 2009 Runway collection. Original Barney's New York $1,800 tag, along with Marc Jacobs tags attached. Shown on the runway in a white colorway. A wonderful collector's piece! The Spring 2009 collection included familiar elements from 20th century fashion that were blended in a unfamiliar way. Turn of the century? The 30s? The 80s? The looks are nostalgic, futuristic, and timeless all at once. The dress closes with a back zip, and the ruffle/bustle fabric attaches at the back with a tiny snap (see photo). The wide straps are purposely frayed at the end. Contrast brocade on both sides of back zipper. Fabric is 75% Linen, 17% Cotton, and 8% Metal. Care is dry clean only, no steam. Dress is marked a size 6, but should fit a 4 well, too. Fit notes: this style is quite fitted, though there is some room in the bust due to the lower back and pleated bodice. Approximate measurements (hip measurement taken from the inside for the most accurate measurement) are: Bust: 34" to 35" (fabric measured across the curved fabric measures at 17") Length from waist to top of straps: 15" Waist at band: 27.5" High Hip: 36" Low Hip: 39" Length at shortest point: 38" Length at longest point: 46" Offers welcome!
