Up for sale is an 1893 Columbian Exposition Half Dollar, the very first commemorative coin issued by the United States Mint. Struck in 90% silver, these historic half dollars were created to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Columbus’ voyage and the Chicago World’s Fair.
This example shows honest circulation wear with strong reverse detail. Please note the rim ding/dent above “UNITED STATES” on the obverse, shown clearly in the photos.
