Rare 1837 Paris edition of The Red Rover by James Fenimore Cooper, published by Baudry’s European Library as part of the Collection of Ancient and Modern British Authors (Vol. CXXII). Cooper, one of the most influential early American novelists, is best remembered for The Last of the Mohicans and his Leatherstocking Tales. This early continental edition reflects his widespread popularity in Europe during the early 19th century.
