Hey Wendy, these are beautiful. So appears they differ from CZ's?? Looks like the prongs are above the stones? @lizcbaldini

@lizcbaldini yes I'm always tonight is as sparkly or sparklier than a diamond. the reason is diamonds come from the ground so there's often inclusions and flaws. and the way the artist cuts the diamonds also varies and changes the amount of Sparkle. moissanites are very very rare from the earth and most of them are

@lizcbaldini made in labs. they have the identical composition as a diamond so they're also considered a simulated diamonds. but since they are lab created there are no flaws. they are absolutely perfect and gorgeous. just be careful if you're buying moissanite's they must come with a certification a lot of people make fake moissanites and try and pass them off as lab stones

@lizcbaldini they come in several different settings but this one yes prongs to come around the stone. if you want like a flush cut that would be a different style setting. I'm trying to think of the name and it escapes me right now but I could find it for you

@lizcbaldini diamond that is flush cut is set in a "flush setting" or sometimes called a "gypsy setting", where the gemstone sits completely level with the surface of the band, meaning it's embedded into the metal and not raised above it.
Key points about a flush setting:
Feb 27Reply

pepepizzazz
@lizcbaldini Appearance: The diamond appears smooth and even with the band, with no visible prongs.
Other names: Sometimes referred to as a "gypsy setting".
Benefits: Offers a sleek, minimalist look and can be particularly good for smaller stones.

@lizcbaldini cushion cut also does not cover the stone.

Ok I’ll look for flush settings. About 3 carats

@lizcbaldini I have them!!

@pepepizzazz How many prongs do you need for just a 2.4 carat diamond stud? Yes, like minimalist prongs. What is a cushion cut? What do you wear?

@lizcbaldini well that was a lot in 1 little sentence. lol. I don't usually wear studs because I have long hair and a round face. so long earrings compliment my face more. although I'd LOVE to wear studs, they don't like me very much. the settings are all good. it's a matter of preference. for the actual definition, I'd have to ask Google. I will in a second. but

@lizcbaldini initially u didn't like the ones that had the prongs wrapped around the stones. so a cushion cut I believe is a way to set the stone without the prongs wrapping the stone. same a Gypsy or flush cut. There are so many types of settings and cuts. I don't know them all. I do like the halo earrings and the pear drops although

@lizcbaldini I know they're smaller than u wanted. take a look at the chart again. my 2ct earrings are not 2ct. they're 2cwt.- which means 1ct ea. that's typically how it's done. so the 4cwt set is actually 2ct each. but a 2ct stone is definitely large for an earring. figure: most engagement rings are .5ct-1.5ct.

@pepepizzazz Wow, you're a wealth of knowledge. Oh, the watch I was looking for a self winding, having batteries changed is a pain and costly. My husband has a ton of watches and he charges them in the sunlight. Guess they are solar charged. I have one watch that doesn't have the real numbers. I prefer the real numbers.

@lizcbaldini oh I had a few buy they may have all sold. but my supplier has a bunch of vintage watches. I'll take a look.

@lizcbaldini fyi. while ur not wearing the watch, pull out the pin and it preserves the battery.
