helmketreasures @hanna684 unknown about the cracks and the 2 jewelers who helped me couldn't determine without taking it out of it's setting. This item was passed onto me from my mother and was kept in a safe deposit box with no humidity. She has passed so I don't know if she purchased it this way or if it happened due to the lack of humidity in the safe deposit box at the bank.
